The North Highlands is a fantastic golf destination, where golfers will feel the freedom of space, sense the lack of formality and experience some amazing golf course venues. Royal Dornoch Golf Club leads the way, with its consistent rating as one of the world’s great golf courses. Castle Stuart, with its superb location overlooking the Moray Firth, just five minutes from Inverness airport, is another gem, which has hosted the Scottish Open on several occasions. Close to Dornoch, there are three other wonderful courses – Tain, Brora and Golspie, all great layouts and very enjoyable for all levels of golfers. A bit further east is The Nairn Golf Club, which has hosted both Walker and Curtis Cups and continues to host top golf events.
