A native and passionate Scotsman, Pete has been a very keen angler all his life and notched up many hundreds of salmon from all the main Scottish rivers and also Norway. He can talk the talk and walk the walk when it comes to fishing matters but can be a quiet “minder” on the bank for those who prefer. Very well versed in all the main techniques of trout fishing and highly experienced from bank or boat, Pete is considered to be an ideal tutor or companion for visitors or locals who want to learn from scratch or improve existing skills. As a person who has travelled extensively, he has world experience and some interesting and sometimes hair raising tales of his early days. Nowadays, Pete is to be found raising native trees or conducting foraging tours for mushrooms and wild food when not fishing. When trout and salmon are not in season, guests are taken on pike fishing expeditions with fish up to 30lb caught in recent years.
